Charles River® News & Updates

Spiros Giannaros, President & CEO Note from Spiros Giannaros, President & CEO

We’re off to an eventful 2024 at Charles River and there is a lot to share, including news regarding our private markets solution, upcoming Client Connect events, and more.

First, we recently announced the news that we are retiring the Mercatus brand and have introduced a new name for our private markets front to back solution: Charles River for Private Markets. This change represents an effort to simplify how we represent ourselves to our customers and the market. Private markets remains an important growth opportunity for Charles River and State Street, and we’re excited about further establishing our footprint. We held a webinar about Investing in Private Markets – the replay is now available and you can learn more about our capabilities here.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at our next set of Client Connect events in Boston on April 24 and in London on May 14. The agenda will include corporate and product updates and a panel on AI as well as breakout sessions in areas such as Front Office, Middle Office, Portfolio Analytics, Compliance, and Technology. We build the agenda for this and all of our Client Connect events from your feedback and we think that input has been key to the success of these events over the past few years. Stay tuned for the full agenda and in the meantime, I would encourage you to register as soon as possible as there are a limited number of spots available. If you have any questions, please reach out to your Client Manager.

In addition to Charles River events, we’re continuing to attend and speak at a variety of industry events, including InvestOps, BISA, the MMI Summit and upcoming at the IMAS Investment Conference, Emerging Asset Managers Forum, and TradeTech Europe.

I recently participated in a panel discussion along with our partners, Snowflake and Microsoft, at Snowflake’s virtual Accelerate Financial Services event. We discussed how financial firms are driving data, technology, and organizational transformation within their companies. It was gratifying to discuss these topics and hear new perspectives in light of Charles River’s own evolution with respect to data and cloud.

On another positive note, Charles River’s technology capabilities continue to receive industry accolades. So far in 2024, we have won six awards for our wealth management, OMS, front office solution, and data management solution. It’s an honor to be recognized by our peers – you can view all of the awards we have won on our website.

It’s been a busy and productive first quarter and we’re looking forward to what else 2024 will bring.
