Charles River® News & Updates
Note from Spiros Giannaros, President & CEO
We’ve finished the first quarter already and 2023 is shaping up to be another eventful year. At Charles River, we kicked off the year with several award wins, including Fund Intelligence for Best Cloud-Based Front-Office Solution and Fintech Breakthrough for Best Wealth Management Platform. We also announced that Krungsri Asset Management has migrated to cloud-based Charles River IMS for their front office operations. In total, we have migrated over 90 clients to the cloud and are actively working with more than 60.
During the first quarter, I traveled to EMEA and APAC to meet with clients and visit CRD colleagues in the regions. Spending time with clients and CRD colleagues allows me to hear your feedback and helps us find new ways to drive engagement. Partnering with our clients is an essential component of our business strategy – your input from meetings like this, and on our annual client survey, informs our product strategy. To that end, I want to take a moment and tell you about some of our product development priorities for the year.
We are continuing to expand our fixed income capabilities across the front office, focusing on rationalizing and integrating data in the State Street Alpha Data Platform, providing holistic views for portfolio managers and traders, and deepening and expanding partnerships with 3rd party providers.
Wealth is another area of strategic focus for 2023, where we are expanding our established platform for wealth managers and advisors to respond to a growing trend in the market around customization. Retail investors increasingly want their investment portfolios to work smarter for them by better reflecting their values or tax needs. To help our clients meet this demand, we launched Tailored Portfolio Solutions, which provides the ability to customize portfolios at scale. I would encourage you to watch our recent webinar on Portfolio Personalization and Direct Indexing to learn more. Enhancements for 2023 center around expanding the capabilities of Tailored Portfolio Solutions and the Wealth Hub, our communication and distribution platform for sponsors and managers.
Industry events are fully back in person for 2023, and it has been a busy conference season so far. In the Wealth space, we attended FSI OneVoice, Exchange ETF, and BISA. More recently, we attended InvestOps 2023 and the MMI Summit. Looking ahead we will be attending TradeTech in Paris in April and TSAM in London in June. It’s going to be a busy and exciting year and we look forward to another year of partnership with you.
