CEO and President

Spiros Giannaros

Spiros Giannaros is executive vice president at State Street Corporation, CEO and President of Charles River Development, a State Street company. In this role, he is responsible for day-to-day operations of the company including product development, sales and services for the Charles River Investment Management Solution. Spiros is also the head of State Street Alpha® Platform, responsible for all technical platform elements of the State Street Alpha® Solution, which includes leading the design and build of the target state architecture.

Most recently, Spiros was head of Platform Strategies at State Street. Prior to that, he served as the global head of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) and a partner at IHS Markit (formerly Markit). In this role, he managed the firm’s EDM, warehouse and reporting businesses, software managed services, and the thinkFolio business, an order management and portfolio modeling system.

Prior to joining IHS Markit, Spiros spent 15 years at Charles River Development, where he was a managing director for the Americas, vice president of Sales, sales executive and director of Pre-Sales. In these roles, he was responsible for sales, strategic account management and product marketing.

Spiros holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and marketing from Boston College. He actively supports the community through volunteer work focused on the education of underserved communities, pediatric cancer research and the improvement of youth sports. He sits on the Board of Directors for School the World and for Hingham Sports Partnership; he is also closely aligned with School on Wheels of Massachusetts. Spiros is a member of the Global Advisory Board for the State Street Professional Women’s Network (PWN) and the Boston College Chief Executives Club.

Head of Platform Strategy & Platform Product Management

Jason Adams

Holding a distinguished record in fintech and technological innovation, Jason Adams has stepped into the role of Head of Platform at Charles River Development. His key responsibilities include creating a technical roadmap for CRD, Alpha, and Mercatus, as well as sculpting the solution architecture to support a modern platform across these entities.

With a rich background in leading global teams and fostering collaboration, Jason has accumulated valuable experiences from his time at Mercatus as Chief Technology Officer, a position he held prior to the company’s acquisition by CRD and State Street in 2021.

Managing Director, Alpha - India, State Street

Joshi Alaparthi

Joshi Alaparthi joined State Street in March 2017 as Managing Director for Alpha India, where his main responsibility is to help build and manage Alpha team in India with main focus on  Alpha Data Management Platform and end-to-end data integration.

Joshi came to State Street with over 25 years of global experience in financial industry. Prior to joining State Street, he had a long stint of over 22 years in US working with Eagle Investment systems a Bank of New York Mellon subsidiary.  As Head of Engineering at Eagle Investment Systems he was instrumental in building enterprise data management system and key contributor to company’s growth and marketplace success. Later, he moved in as Chief Systems Architect in product strategy group for BNY Mellon’s Investment Manager Middle Office Services where he worked with Clients and Prospects in defining the product architecture and services.

Joshi brings in core technology and financial data domain knowledge. He has worked in all areas of Software Development – presales/sales, product development, client implementations, operations and support. Joshi holds a master’s degree in computer science from Northeastern University, Boston and a bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Osmania University, India.

SVP, Head of Asia-Pacific

Vin Bhat

Vin leads Charles River in Asia-Pacific and is responsible for all business oversight and collaboration with State Street Alpha, the first front-to-back asset servicing platform from a single provider for institutional investors. Vin joins Charles River from FactSet Research Systems where he was head of the Asia Pacific business. Vin has over 25 years of experience in leadership positions in sales, consulting, and engineering.  Prior to his time at FactSet, Vin spent a decade at Tata Consultancy Services.

Vin has a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology Surat, India, and an MBA in General Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Vin is a CFA^® charter holder, CFA Institute.

General Counsel and SVP, Global

André Bouchard

André Bouchard is a Senior Vice President at State Street and General Counsel of Charles River with responsibility for managing all of the legal affairs of Charles River, Mercatus, and their subsidiaries. Additionally, André has a role in defining and negotiating the integrated contract terms for State Street’s Alpha℠ services. Prior to joining Charles River, André was in-house counsel for divine Interventures and Open Market, Inc., and spent several years as a technical professional services implementation consultant for PeopleSoft. André holds a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.

Head of Private Markets

Tim Buchner

Tim Buchner is Head of Private Markets for Charles River Development.  During his 25+ year career, Tim has helped both start-up and public companies to disrupt and create new markets, while driving profitable growth with leadership roles in General Management, Sales, Finance and Operations.

In 2009, Tim co-founded Mercatus, an investment management and data platform serving the unique needs of private market asset managers and investors that grew to over $2 trillion in Assets Under Management across 25,000 investments.

In 2021, State Street acquired Mercatus to form the Private Markets division of Charles River Development as well as launch State Street Alpha for Private Markets, which combined enables investors to manage the entire lifecycle of investments through a fully integrated, front-to-back, public to private platform.

Tim earned both his Bachelor of Science in Commerce and his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Santa Clara University in the Silicon Valley.

Randy Bullard

Randy Bullard leads the Charles River Wealth Management business globally. He is responsible for the firm’s wealth product strategy and growth of the business with a heavy focus on client satisfaction. Before joining Charles River, Bullard served as General Manager of Wealth Management at SigFig and prior to that, founded Placemark Investments, a leading provider of wealth management programs and services for wealth management firms across the US and Canada.

Ruby Chiu

Ruby Chiu is the Head of Client Management for Charles River Development (CRD), a State Street Company. Ruby is responsible for leading and overseeing CRD client relationships. Her global team focuses on client satisfaction and exceptional client service delivery, serving as trusted advisors for existing and prospective clients. Ruby is a member of CRD’s Management and Operating Committees and is based out of corporate headquarters in Burlington, MA.

Prior to joining Charles River in 2020, Ruby spent over 16 years at BlackRock as a senior leader within the Aladdin Client Engagement business, most recently as Head of Relationship Management for Insurance Asset Managers and Head of Relationship Management for US East Asset Managers. Prior to BlackRock, Ruby worked within Citigroup’s Global Telecommunications Investment Banking division. She earned her BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia.

Chief Revenue Officer

Matt Daly

Matt Daly is the Chief Revenue Officer at Charles River Development, responsible for client success and driving growth through all channels. He oversees client management, sales, delivery and business development globally for Charles River. He is also a member of Charles River’s senior strategy and policy-making team and is actively involved with large scale client transformations including deployments of State Street Alpha℠.

Matt is a senior leader with a strong track record in delivering enterprise front and mid-office solutions that help buy-side financial institutions grow their business, lower risk and increase operational efficiency. He specializes in partnering with C-Level executives, both business and technical, to define and deliver a solution tailored to their business objectives. Matt’s background includes 15+ years of product management and sales experience, providing a keen understanding of asset managers’ business challenges and how to solve them.

Dan Daum

Dan Daum serves as SVP, Global Head of Sales at Charles River Development (CRD), a position he assumed after leading the sales team for the Americas Region following CRD’s acquisition by State Street in 2018. For over 9 years, Dan has made significant contributions to CRD’s growth, responsible for consistent go-to-market activities that drive new customer acquisition and existing client expansion.

Dan began at CRD in 2014 as an individual contributor and player/coach for sales, with his commitment to the company’s strategy reflected in his roles on the CRD Management Committee and the CRD Operating Committee. Prior to joining CRD, Dan held institutional sales roles at Bloomberg and BondEdge Solutions. He holds a dual degree in Economics and Spanish from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Cem Er

Cem leads Charles River’s private wealth product management team and provides direction and thought leadership for wealth management-related functionality, including modeling and optimization. Cem has been with the company for 13 years and has worked in many parts of Charles River IMS, including the portfolio management and FX trading areas. Before joining Charles River, Cem was a Head Trader and Portfolio Manager at Cobblestone Capital Advisors. Cem holds an MBA in Finance and Statistics from Rochester Institute of Technology and is a CFA charter holder.

Dmitriy Ilyin

Dmitriy Ilyin oversees all Charles River SaaS and Technical Support teams globally. In addition, Dmitriy leads Charles River’s continuing transition to Microsoft® Azure and will help shape the firm’s strategic cloud direction and growth strategy. Prior to joining Charles River in 2020, Dmitriy led the Technical Operations team at Intralinks, a FinTech provider for M&A services, where he transformed the operations support organization into the site reliability engineering discipline and built global follow-the-sun operations centers to support a hybrid data center-based and public cloud model. He also developed an ITSM practice focused on driving operational excellence.

SVP/Global Head of Cloud Strategy & Engineering, State Street Alpha

Kishore Kottapalli

Kishore is a senior vice president at State Street Corporation and global head of cloud strategy, engineering and operations for Charles River Development and State Street Alpha. He is responsible for shaping the firm’s cloud strategy and oversees architecture, engineering, deployment and ongoing operations of the several platforms that constitute Alpha Cloud – the Global SaaS Platform, Alpha Data Platform and Cloud-Native Services.

Kishore began his career at State Street in 1998 and is an experienced Development and Operations financial technologist. Kishore has led several initiatives at State Street including Global Production Operations, Development Operations, IT Operations Automation, Application Resiliency Engineering, IT Transformation Programs (Private Cloud / Large-Scale Databases) and Information Delivery Development and Continuous Improvement programs.

Head of the Americas & Global Head of Delivery

Dean Landis

Dean Landis leads Charles River Development in the Americas and is also the Global Head of Delivery. In his capacity as Managing Director of North America, he has overall responsibility for relationship management, delivery and business development that includes achieving the region’s growth targets and ensuring the success of our customers. In his capacity as the Global Head of Delivery he leads the professional services, technical support, compliance advisory and training teams.

Prior to joining Charles River Dean was a leader in the Capital Markets consulting practice of SunGard and a management consultant with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Miami University.

Head of Professional Services, Americas and APAC

Richard LeClair

Rich LeClair is responsible for all Professional Services for the Americas and Asia Pacific for Charles River Development (CRD), a State Street Company. His remit includes all implementations of Charles River for both Alpha and non-Alpha Clients, CRD upgrades, and various consulting services. His global team consists of approximately 20 “Practices” and 200 associated service professionals – with specialists across all asset classes and Investment disciplines. Rich is a member of CRD’s Operating Committee and is based out of corporate headquarters in Burlington, MA.

Prior to re-joining CRD in 2021, Rich was a Managing Director at Wellington Management, where he was responsible for Front Office Technology strategy, planning and delivery. Prior to Wellington, Rich worked at Ernst & Young in Wealth and Asset Management Advisory Services, the New York Mercantile Exchange, and spent 10 years at Charles River in senior roles in both Product and Implementation Services. Rich has a BA degree in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College.

Michael McCarter

Mike is head of architecture for Charles River. Before taking this role, Mike held development director roles for trading, portfolio management and decision support.  He led the CRD development of Alpha Platform initiatives for cloud native next generation platform development.

Human Resources

Erica McGillicuddy

As a strategic partner, Erica provides Human Resources leadership for Charles River. Erica joined Charles River in 2019 after spending 5 years at State Street leading Learning and Talent Management teams. Prior to her time at State Street, Erica has spent the last 20 years in various Human Resources leadership roles in the financial services, staffing, and healthcare industries. Erica holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from West Virginia University and a master’s degree in Human Resources from Northeastern University.

Head of Global IT

Chafic Menayrji

Chafic Menayrji serves as the Managing Director at State Street and holds the role of Head of Global IT at Charles River. His responsibilities encompass all IT services and digital security for CRD and its subsidiaries. Chafic collaborates closely with organizational leaders to implement business strategies and ensure compliance with global regulatory standards.

With a career deeply rooted in technology, Chafic’s experience includes a prior role as Senior Director of IT Infrastructure at Manulife. He is an alumnus of Suffolk University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and an MBA in Information Systems and Operations Management.

Managing Director and Business Unit CFO

Keith Masterson

Keith Masterson is a Managing Director and Business Unit CFO, responsible for the Finance support of our Front-to-Back Alpha organization (“Alpha & CRD”), which brings together real time data and asset intelligence across the investment lifecycle inclusive of our front, middle and back office operations.  Keith works closely across both Finance and Business Unit functions to provide financial analysis and strategic support across Alpha & CRD.  His team supports all month end close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.  Keith also sits on the Treasury Performance Measurement Methodology Committee.

Keith joined State Street in 1999.  Prior to taking his current role at the beginning of 2021, Keith spent over 10 years working in our non-US locations in Dublin, Paris and London across various Finance roles including supporting the integration of several large asset service provider acquisitions.

Front Office

Steven Milanowycz

Steve has been with Charles River for over 14 years and in his current role oversees the development of Portfolio Management and Trading-related modules within the Charles River IMS. Prior to his current role Steve was mandated with the development of the latest version of Manager Workbench portfolio management application. Earlier in his time at Charles River, he led pre-sales efforts in the Americas as a senior sales engineer. Prior to joining Charles River, Steven was a business analyst at DST International, and an investment consultant at UBS. Steven holds a BS in Finance from Lehigh University – College of Business and Economics.

Chief Technology Officer

Vladimir Mitevski

Vladimir is the CTO at CRD (Charles River Development) State Street. He has over 25 years of experience in global roles, including being a CTO, CIO, and technology operations and product leader in various industries. Vladimir is a hands-on individual who has been responsible for customer-facing product development to global operations, support, cloud services, and on-prem infrastructure. His unique skills have allowed him to stay connected with customers and invent, solve, and build new cutting-edge technology. Vladimir holds a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from LA Tech University.

He currently serves on several company advisory boards and has been active with not-for-profits, both as a volunteer and in a board capacity. Vladimir resides in New York City with his wife and their two teenage daughters.

Managing Director, Business Risk Executive

Rob O’Reilly

Rob O’Reilly serves as a Managing Director and is the Business Risk Executive responsible for managing end-to-end business and technology risks at Charles River Development. He has over 25 years’ experience in risk management, cybersecurity and audit at State Street, EY and PWC.

His multinational experience includes living and working in the US, Ireland, Australia, and South Africa. Rob holds a post graduate degree in Information Risk Management from the University of Cape Town and is a Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Information Systems Auditor.

Caroline O’Shaughnessy

Caroline leads Charles River Development in EMEA and is responsible for all business oversight and collaboration with State Street Alpha, State Street’s global front to back-office platform. Caroline joined from The London Stock Exchange Group where she was Chief Client Officer and Global Head of Sales and Marketing of Information Services Division and Group Head of The Global Strategic Account Programme.

Caroline has more than 25 years of experience in high revenue growth businesses including senior global commercial roles with DTCC (Depository Trust Clearing Co), Thomson Reuters and Interactive Data. Caroline is passionate about Culture, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives as a powerful source of business innovation and growth. Caroline holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Birmingham.

Chief of Staff

Stacey Pauze

Stacey Pauze is the Chief of Staff for the CEO and President of Charles River Development, a State Street company. In this role, she is responsible for making time, information and the decision making process more effective for the CEO. She also oversees strategic business initiatives, from development through successful execution, under the guidance of senior leadership and department heads. Stacey assists with implementing new ideas and strategic processes across the organization. Over the last year, she has been also been involved in organizing company events focuses on celebrating our key milestones and our employees.

Stacey has spent 9 years at State Street and was most recently the Head of State Street Alpha Sales Enablement where she was responsible for sales reporting and collateral.

Chief Operating Officer

Chris Russo

As Chief Operating Officer, Chris oversees Charles River’s SaaS & Support, Business Controls, and IT organizations as well as key initiatives including Return to Office and realty. Most recently, Chris was Global Head of Professional Services for Enterprise Data Management (EDM), thinkFolio, iLEVEL and Wall Street Office (WSO), serving as vice president at IHS Markit.  In this role, he was responsible for professional services and training and was a member of the Solutions division executive team responsible for P&L ownership and setting strategic direction.  Chris was also the executive sponsor for the Belonging, and Inclusion working groups.

Prior to joining IHS Markit, Chris has worked within the FinTech space for much of his career, including Charles River Development, Citisoft, Omgeo and Thomson Financial.

Head of Engineering

Manish Shah

Manish Shah is the Head of Engineering, responsible for the development of the Charles River and Alpha product portfolio including its evolution to next-generation architecture and cloud-native services. He is a senior leader with a strong track record in building and leading high-performing, empowered, and disciplined engineering organizations to deliver new business capabilities to market faster with quality, scalability, security, elasticity, and resiliency.

Before joining Charles River, Manish led an engineering organization in Cisco’s Collaboration Technology Group. He was responsible for the development of complex, geographically redundant, highly available customer collaboration application solutions. Subsequently, he drove the development and deployment of next-generation SaaS application solutions. As an experienced professional in culture transformation, he won the prestigious Pioneer Award in recognition of building a high-performance agile organization producing high-quality software and achieving 6x productivity gains.

In addition, Manish has held numerous leadership and software developer roles in technology companies. Manish earned an MS in Computer Systems Engineering and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University.

Data Product Owner for State Street Alpha

Jeff Shortis

Jeff Shortis serves as Data Product Owner for State Street Alpha at Charles River Development, A State Street Company.  Prior to joining Charles River, Jeff was the CEO and co-founder of Data3Sixty, a leading data governance SaaS solution provider. Earlier in his career, Jeff served as Chief Data Officer for Pioneer Investments where he led the global data strategy and evangelized the importance of data governance.  Prior to Pioneer Investments, Jeff was product manager for an industry leading investment management data warehouse.

Jeff has also advised several financial services organizations in consulting capacities defining data strategies and standing up data governance teams.  Jeff is recognized as one of the thought leaders in the data management industry.

Chief Product Officer

Nidhi Singh

As Chief Product Officer, Nidhi oversees product management and product marketing for Charles River. In this role, she is responsible for the ongoing expansion and execution of our product portfolio and development team, as well as the transformation of our offering to cloud services. Prior to joining Charles River, Nidhi led global technology and operations at Broadridge and held key senior leadership roles at tier one banks and fintech firms including Goldman Sachs and Trading Technologies. She brings over two decades of product development experience in financial markets and has led several successful large-scale transformation initiatives. She holds a BS in Economics from Purdue University and a Masters, Financial Markets/Engineering, from Illinois Institute of Technology.

Managing Director, Head of Middle Office

Edda Son

Edda Son joined Charles River Development in May 2022 as the Head of Middle Office Products.  She is responsible for overseeing all CRD middle office products, including strategy, vision, roadmap, and execution of our Next Gen Services for investment accounting and compliance.

Prior to joining CRD, she was the head of Clearing and Settlement and Back Office Products at Drivewealth, transforming their legacy books and records.  Edda was the Head of Product Management for the Next Gen Products and Services at Broadridge Financial, modernizing their legacy engines into a component based, cloud native architecture.  Edda has also held Product Management leadership positions at Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs managing their back-office product suites with a focus on operations, clearing and settlement, margin, positions, cash, and collateral management, and reporting.

Global Chief Architect, State Street

Aman Thind

Aman Thind is Executive Vice President and Global Chief Architect for State Street. In this role, he is responsible for defining the technology strategy and drive adoption of latest AI, Crypto, Cloud and Data strategies to transform the firm into an innovation-led organization. Aman is also the CTO of State Street Digital Assets which is a division dedicated to Crypto Assets and Web3.0 technologies and CTO of State Street Alpha which is a leading data management platform to help clients manage all their investment products and business lines in one place.

Prior to being appointed as chief architect, Aman was CTO of State Street GlobalLink where he led the development of multiple low-latency trading and analytics applications systemic to the financial industry.
