Approximately 800 attendees from around the globe gathered at the Charles River 2016 Global Client Conference held June 12-15, 2016, at the Westin Boston Waterfront. With more than 75 sessions across 6 tracks, the two-and-a-half day conference focused on how to improve front and middle office operations with topics such as:

  • Portfolio Management and Decision Support: Portfolio Construction, Benchmark Analytics, Risk, Scenario Analysis and Performance Measurement /Attribution in one platform
  • Multi-Asset Trading
  • Risk and Compliance – Managing New Regulatory Changes
  • IBOR’s Role in the Investment Process
  • Middle Office Operations
  • Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Security

“The industry is changing rapidly; portfolio managers and traders today are struggling with a patchwork of typically outdated systems with limited capabilities and deficient data,” said Peter Lambertus, President and CEO of Charles River Development. “SaaS allows us to deliver a single multi-asset front and middle office platform with hosting, needed data, frequent upgrades and better operation at predictable lower costs.”

When not in educational sessions, attendees took advantage of the Solution Labs and Demo Center with expert-led tutorials covering the components of the Charles River Investment Management Solution. The Solutions Pavilion offered opportunities to meet with 20 sponsoring partner firms providing algorithmic trading and execution venues, analytics, data, benchmarks, post-trade services, compliance services and IT infrastructure with the Charles River platform. The next Charles River Global Client Conference is scheduled for November 5-8, 2017, in Boca Raton, Florida.
