Charles River IMS selected by Italy’s Market Leader Eurizon Capital SGR
Integrated trading platform streamlines front-office operations across asset classes
Boston, Beijing, London, Melbourne, New York, Paris, Singapore and Tokyo — February 24, 2010 — Charles River Development (Charles River), a front- and middle-office investment software solutions provider, today announced that Eurizon Capital SGR (Eurizon Capital), the largest Italian asset management company with EUR 154 billion in assets under management (as of September 2009), has selected the Charles River Investment Management System (Charles River IMS) to automate order management, electronic trading and execution management across the firm’s trading desks in Milan and Luxembourg. Charles River IMS will provide Eurizon Capital users with complete order placement, execution, allocation and trade processing for all asset classes, including: derivatives; foreign exchange; fixed income; and equities.
Following a merger in 2008, Eurizon Capital has grown considerably, triggering the need for an order and execution management system to increase straight through processing (STP) and support additional trading volumes with efficient workflows. Eurizon Capital chose Charles River IMS for its deep functionality, flexibility, open and extensible technology, as well as its integrated data and execution connectivity.
“Charles River IMS provides seamless interfaces with third-party providers,” said Jon Steward, Managing Director, EMEA, Charles River Development. “Eurizon Capital will leverage Charles River’s trading interface with Bondvision, a popular European fixed income execution venue.”
Charles River maintains regional offices in London and Paris, a local presence in Frankfurt, sales and service partners in South Africa and Dubai and supports nearly 75 buy-side clients in 14 countries across Europe. In Italy, Charles River currently serves three of the country’s leading asset managers.
