Charles River Development Adds UBS Algo Trading Offering
Excerpt from Waters highlighting the integration of UBS’ Perimeter Algorithm into the Charles River Investment Management System.
Charles River Development has integrated its Charles River Investment Management System (IMS) with UBS Perimeter, a new US algorithm which allows users to trade outside of regular market hours.
Clients employing Charles Rivers IMS will now be able to work orders in the market based on a variety of desired parameters and urgency levels. The new algorithm, which targets US auctions, imbalances, and sessions outside regular market hours, will let clients participate in the pre-open, the open, and the close.
"We’ve offered integrated algorithmic trading strategies for a number of years," said Tom Driscoll, vice president, sales and marketing with Charles River Development. "Our partnership with UBS expands our offering, allowing clients to take advantage of the unique suite of UBS algorithms directly from the Charles River Trader blotter."
The new strategy was developed in response to client demand, said Owain Self, head of UBS algorithmic trading for the Americas and EMEA. "Charles River worked with us to quickly and efficiently deploy this new strategy in a very user-friendly way. It is a great demonstration of how our powerful partnership can deliver real benefit to clients," he added.
The new algorithmic strategy adds to the collection of over 500 (from over 40 algorithmic brokers) currently integrated with Charles River IMS.
