Charles River Awarded Bloomberg Certification
Excerpt from TheTrade highlighting Bloomberg’s full certification of the Charles River Investment Management System integration with the Bloomberg Server API
Software provider Charles River Development has been certified to use the Bloomberg Server application programming interface (API). This means that clients using the Charles River Investment Management System (IMS) will be able to access Bloomberg’s real-time pricing and static reference data.
Charles River IMS users will also be able to consolidate time-stamped market snapshots at each stage in a trade, from portfolio management through to post-trade operations. Additionally, the integration delivers real-time yield curve support for interest rate swap and ‘on the run’ instruments.
Charles River believes that the integration will allow managers and traders to show best execution by comparing their decisions to the market spread.
“The exchanges are getting serious about cracking down on restricted and exchange-entitled data violations,” said Tom Driscoll, vice president, sales and marketing, Charles River Development, in a statement, “At the same time, worldwide exchange requirements are more complex. While systems have historically provided snapshot capabilities, they lacked the tools to comply with exchange requirements that control the distribution of that information. Charles River solves these issues by ensuring that data is in complete.”
