Charles River Development wins Asia Asset Management’s Inaugural “Best Buy Side Technology Firm” Award
Charles River Investment Management System voted leading technology solution
Boston, Beijing, London, Melbourne, New York, Paris, Singapore and Tokyo — March 12, 2010 — Charles River Development, a front- and middle-office software solutions provider for investment firms, today announced that the Asia Asset Management Best of the Best Awards has named Charles River Investment Management System (Charles River IMS) “Best Buy Side Technology Firm.” Judges included expert market practitioners who evaluated firms based on excellence in providing front- and middle-office software solutions, size of regional market share, initiatives in China and ongoing enhancements. Asia Asset Management has been presenting the Best of the Best Awards for six years; this is the first year they have presented an award in this category.

The recently launched Charles River IMS Version 9.1 includes increased support for wealth management, fixed income and derivatives instruments and analytics, and a new module for performance measurement, attribution, and performance risk analysis. The new version leverages an open, service-oriented architecture to provide a full order and execution management system.

The level of investment in China was a key criterion for the judging panel. Charles River IMS supports over 35 Chinese security types and associated workflows. It also offers Chinese exchange connectivity via a bi-directional real time interface to a widely-used domestic trading platform.
This award follows Charles River’s recent recognition for “Best Risk Management System” by the AsianInvestor 2009 Service Provider Awards, as well as “Best Buy-Side Order Management System” and “Best Integrated Front-Office Platform” by the Buy-Side Technology Awards 2009.
