March 18, 2014

London — Charles River, an enterprise-wide, front and middle office investment management solution provider, today announced that BCEE Asset Management (BCEE-AM), a subsidiary of state-owned Banque et Caisse d’Epargne de l’Etat, Luxembourg, is live on the Charles River Investment Management Solution (Charles River IMS) for automated portfolio management and compliance across its Equity, Fixed Income, and Foreign Exchange operations.

Charles River IMS improves decision making and productivity for portfolio managers by combining all analysis and construction activity in a common view and platform. Users can evaluate portfolio strategies and conduct ‘what if’ analysis and benchmark comparisons. A comprehensive compliance rules library and advanced rule-building tools help firms meet strict internal controls and directives, such as UCITS IV.

“Charles River has eliminated our Portfolio Managers’ reliance on outdated front-office technology and reduced the use of spread sheets,” said Claude Hirtzig, Conducting Officer, BCEE-AM. “We now can make better investment decisions and more easily adhere to all company and regulatory mandates by automatically monitoring every step of the trade process.”

“Our solution gives firms, like BCEE-AM, the ability to manage all portfolios across asset classes in a central workspace,” said Stephen Butcher, Managing Director-EMEA, Charles River. “We bring together the tools and data Portfolio Managers need to get off Excel, reduce risk, and have better, real-time communication with Traders.”
