The following pre-conference event are optional; pre-registration is required and subject to a participation fee.
New Course of the Hyatt Grand Cypress - Sunday, October 19
Grand Cypress features 45 holes of Jack Nicklaus Signature Designed golf with four unique course combinations, offering a truly grand playing experience for everyone.
The New Course adds another dimension of play with steeper and more challenging bunkers and slopes. Set in the midst of an open meadow, the New Course is Jack Nicklaus' tribute and homage to the famed Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland. This Scottish links masterpiece is complete with double greens, stone bridges and walls, gorse mounds, burns, and pot bunkers as deep as 12 feet. Very little water comes into play on the New Course and very few trees are located within the interior of the course, creating plenty of room to drive the ball. However, even the best of drives will be challenged, as even a slight slice or fade can cause the best of golfers to find themselves looking in the wrong fairway for their ball.
Date / Time
Sunday, October 19, 2008. All players should arrive at the Golf Shop by 11:30 am. Pairings will be arranged based on handicap and / or foursome request. Confirmation of partners will be e-mailed to you at least one week prior.
Fees
Charles River and Liquidnet are subsidizing the cost of play for clients. Charles River clients pay only $130 (includes golf cart). Golf Club rentals are available on site for $75. Non-metal / non-ceramic golf spikes required and may be rented for $22. Incidentals, including purchases at the Clubhouse and Golf Shop are the responsibility of the individual. The Clubhouse and beverage cart are available.
Registration
The last day to register is September 12th, based on availability. Slots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Please indicate your participation, handicap and foursome request on the Registration Form.
Proper Attire
Proper golf attire is required at all times. Denim jeans, bathing suits, collarless shirts (T-shirts), gym shorts, tank tops, tube and halter tops, mesh shirts, cut-off shorts, short shorts, and dress of this nature is inappropriate.
Cancellation Deadline
The last day to cancel for a full refund is August 17th, 2008. Cancellations must be received in writing by 5:00 pm (EST) to qualify for a refund. No fees will be refunded for cancellations received after the deadline. Substitutions are permitted with advance written notice.

Welcome Reception
Sunday, October 19th 7:30 - 9:30 pm
Charles River greets you with a poolside welcome reception including cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and a light dinner. Dress: Casual.
Charles River Western Night
Monday, October 20th 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Don’t miss Charles River’s Western Night. Enjoy a hearty buffet and traditional western games and activities. Given the outdoor terrain, you’ll be most comfortable wearing flat shoes – cowboy boots are optional.
Charles River Sports Night
Tuesday, October 21st 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Join the fun at Charles River’s Sport Night. After a gourmet dinner buffet, test your athletic skills at several ‘sports stations’. Prizes will be awarded!
