Senior QA Performance Engineer
We are currently looking for a Sr. QA Engineer to contribute to performance testing projects. You will work closely with Charles River developers, feature and automation QA, product managers, and account managers to ensure product quality and client satisfaction. We employ 130+ of the top developers and QA professionals in the industry so this is an opportunity to work with a very senior team in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create comprehensive performance test plans with well defined, reusable test cases.
- Lead the execution phase of the performance test suites. This will require hands on participation in the test execution efforts.
- Record and maintain performance test scripts suites.
- Document software defects in an issues tracking system and proactively communicate issues with developers and other project team members.
- Participate in the development, integration and coordination of cross-organization performance test projects.
- Participate in identifying and reporting performance related risks to project schedule and product quality and proposes, where possible new methods to control and/or mitigate risks.
- Generate effective status and progress reports to the QA Manager and project managers.
- Verify, benchmark, and stress Charles River Development’s product suite to ensure scalability and improve performance.
- Isolate issues and work with team members to resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Develop and document manual and scripted test cases.
- Execute tests and report performance/scalability test results.
- Utilize multiple test tools to drive load and characterize system performance.
- Set up and maintain performance test environments.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a BSCS or BSEE degree or equivalent from a top-rated engineering school.
- Ideally 7+ years post-graduation work experience in Quality Assurance testing with 5+ years of performance testing.
- Knowledge of SQL, XML, Application Server, Web Services, and Java.
- Proficient programming skills to develop scripts effectively
- Experience with performance test tools. Knowledge of GUI automation test tools is highly desirable.
- Worked with multiple OS.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

- Experience with financial software testing is preferred.
- Experience in knowledge of industry standard best practices as related to performance testing.
