The Charles River IMS incorporates a modern technical architecture to support the front and middle-office needs of global financial organizations. The architecture consists of C# and .NET front-end, J2EE middle-tier, Web Services, RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase), XML messaging, and web reporting.
We are currently in need of a Sr. Software Engineer (full-time position) to work on a variety of client- and server-side systems of the Charles River IMS, primarily involving the Charles River Compliance module. This position is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering excellent compensation. We employ 90+ of the top engineers in the software industry so this is an opportunity to work within a very strong, senior level engineering team and help to develop challenging new products in the financial space.
Requirements:
- Four or more years of commercial software development, proficient in developing multi-tier solutions. Minimum three years of professional Java development experience.
- MUST possess a BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Technical experience includes strong Java n-tier application experience.
- Strong DBMS experience, including SQL database programming, SQL optimization (including indexes etc.).
- Experience with GUI development, C#, XML / XSL and Scripting (Perl etc.) a strong plus.
- Junit / NUnit experience a strong plus.
- Crystal reports experience a plus.
- Experience with Web Services a plus.
- Strong with OO design and development.
- Experience developing applications for the financial markets a very strong plus.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), good interpersonal skills, ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sector.
