FIX Network Support Specialist
A staff position responsible for coordinating service delivery, changes, and support. For straightforward situations, responsible for implementing, testing, certifying, and problem support/resolution for Charles River Network Clients.
Responsibilities:
- Support team efforts to sustain a “five nines” level of availability for Charles River Network Clients.
- Coordinate with Clients, internal Charles River colleagues, and network vendor(s) to facilitate the following service-related functions:
- Design, specification, and provisioning
- Testing and certification
- Go-live implementation
- On-going changes and enhancements
- Problem troubleshooting, support, and resolution
- For straightforward situations, perform the aforementioned tasks.
- Follow departmental procedures to ensure timely, high quality delivery of service to Charles River Network Clients
- Ensure all Network Services database information and documentation is accurate and current.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to work in a mission critical operations and support environment.
- Some high level knowledge and understanding of Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN).
- Ability to partner with various internal departments to deliver superior customer service.
- Periodic off-hours support.
- Occasional travel to customer sites to perform on site customization, testing, or troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 1 year experience with FIX administration and support.
- 3 years experience in the securities trading industry preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Aptitude for technical troubleshooting.
A background in portfolio management and trading system applications is preferred.
